Biography
Prof. Shlomo Berger has completed his PhD at the age of 31 years from the Technion Institute of Technology, Israel. He completed one year of postdoctoral term at the Harverd University, USA. Since then, he is a faculty member in the faculty of materials science and engineering, Technion, Israel. He is the head of the group of dielectric materials in the faculty of materials science and engineering, Technion. His group studies how to control the crystallographic orientation of dielectric nanocrystals in order to obtain optimal detection sensitivity based on piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties. He published more than 60 scientific papers in reviewed journals, presented invited talks in many scientific conferences and edited special issues.
