Biography
Gisele Lecomte-Nana has developed a basic knowledge related to the characterization and use of phyllosilicates to manufacture materials for wide diffusion and technical applications. Indeed, I have investigated the consolidation routes of clay-based ceramics (sintering mechanisms) and developed a class of original sustainable products called “geomimetic” materials (chemical consolidation at moderate temperature). Taking advantage of this background, together with a smart match between “Formulation-Shaping-Ceramic/Composite Materials”, she is working on the following themes: (1) Control/Mastering of surfaces and interfaces through (non)reversible routes for phyllosilicates and hybrid systems; (2) Ceramic Processes and Multi-scale Texturing aiming to setup original method for controlling particles organization up to the product scale; (3) manufacturing Flexible and Original Hierarchical Materials targeting the highlight of structure-properties relations for smart and sustainable systems.
